謙恭近主文

慈悲的主，我們來到主的聖桌前，
不敢靠自己的義，唯靠上主的恩。
我們就是拾取聖桌下的零碎，也是不配。
唯獨主永無更改，常施憐憫，
求主施恩，
叫我們能夠領受你愛子基督耶穌的聖體寶血，
使我們有罪的身體，因他的聖體，得以潔淨，
我們的靈魂，因他的寶血，得以洗清。
這樣，我們就常在基督裏面，
基督也常在我們裏面。阿們。

We do not presume to come to this your table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in your abundant and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under your table; but you are the same Lord whose character is always to have mercy.

Grant us, therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the flesh of your dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink his blood, that our sinful bodies may be made clean by his body, and our souls washed through his most precious blood, and that we may evermore dwell in him, and he in us.  Amen.
